While at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Lening served as President of the Graduate Student Government, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to fostering academic community and collaboration.
He is an active member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), stays current with cutting-edge research, and maintains a broad professional network within the global robotics community.
Lening is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Symbotic, where he plays a key role in the development of advanced robotic systems for large-scale supply chain automation.
He has also coached both VEX Robotics and FIRST Robotics teams, contributing to youth STEM education and mentoring the next generation of roboticists.
